human rights !

the story Night John the main characters were slaves that lived down south on a plantation and they grow and picked cotten for there owner of them. The story  told from Sarny who is a lil girl. in the story sarny talks about  life on the plantation how the master won't let them pray or even touch money. she talks about the way they were treated by the owneres including the  mistress Margret and her sister Alaine. in the story a man is brought as another slave to work on the plantation and Sarny makes freinds with this man, the man goes by the name of John and Sarney describes him as a tall man with scares and bruses on his back and his armes.  
the story Mascot is about a civil rights leader malcom x. he had a rough life  and the disciminaton of him and  blacks. because of his color he was what was called a negro and he was discriminated aginst just for the color of his skin somethingthat was un fair and couldnt change. At a young age he started to become more involved with th civil rights movment as it only got worse and he got older he was one of the few african americans to step up  for discrimination of someone skin color.
The movie the great debaters was a movie about some of the strugals that were face during the time of the civil rights movement. the movie told the story of three young blacks teens Henry Lowe, Samantha Booke, and James Farmer Jr. these three teens were on a debating team for  college a all african american/ black college. the eventually were invited to debate aginst the harvard universety debating team and they won . the movie compared to the other two stories Nightjohn and Mascot have somethings in common. All stories are told by an afican american  during the times of  discrimination. in the story mascot  the events are closer together, during the civil rights movment. the stories are both talking about how to stop the discrimination, in mascot he becomes civil rights leader. the movie the great debaters the teens are becoming a undefeted team so that they can be the first to be up against a all white college.

make up blog ! #1

hola hola !! its make up blogs :] !! i had a great two weeks hbu?!  well the fisrt coulpe days i was pretty bored and just watched tv, listened to music, and text all day.Christmas was really fun, i got alot of what i asked for and a couple things i didnt even think about. I also got my mom some jewlery, she loved it. Which was a bonus ! I love not going to school but i hate the cold, it made me so lazy ! But something that i did that i never done before, was go to fort rapids. With a friend that i met a couple weeks before. i had alot of fun, we swam had cookies, and later had pizza yum ! he was very nice and so was his family. well thanks for reading im gonna get back to cleaning ! see yah !!

Nov. 5th blog :]

heyy !! its blog time :] ... ugh which means school tomarrow :[,, which means more reading in english class :/. im not a big reader at all so i hope we dont hav a huge test or anything at the end of all this. but on the bright side i had a great weekend with my bestfriends.One of them had a sweet 16 party. it was really fun :] mucis, dancing and food. That is pretty much all you need. Saturday  i went to easton got some starbucks and went to the movies with my girls. We had a pretty cool laid back saturday :]. my sunday was pretty laid back too, i slept have the day which is not usual. Then i came home and cleaned up the house. Sadly i had to go back out into the cold and go to the grocery store with my mom ugh. I hate being cold and i dont like grocerie shopping. idk how people do the winter, i struggle now and its jus the beginning. what about you guys?! well anywho ill see you guys tmrw im gonna get ready for bed now. :] !!

Week of thanksgiving :] nov.22

Heyy !! its Blog time :]. I had an awsome week and weekend, i wish we had more two day weeks lol. Monday im glad we finished the movie, it was very good. Although i've seen it plenty of times, it never gets old. Tuesday i wasnt in class :]. I went to the eastland visitation trip, and sorry to say im very very happy i didnt have to go to school. What did you guys do?!  Tuesday night i had alot of fun, i went to my best friends house and we hungout with my play brother jordan myers. We went to play basketball lol i had no idea what i was doing, then wednesday morning i had to get up early and drive down to Indiana. Not a long drive at all !! When i woke up thursday morning i couldnt wait to eat, but it seems like every thanksgiving i dont get any breakfast lol. I guess its to save my appetite and boy does it work :]. Turkey day was great,so was the rest of the long weekend. I just enjoyed  time with the family, and the ones i havnt seen in idk how long. i drove back, or my mom drove us  back lol this morning, now we have school tmrw. :[[ so not cool !! But i will be there, see ya tmrw !! :]

heyyyyy !!! It's blog time :] !! how was everyones weekend?! My weekend was pretty laid back, i didnt really do much. My mom went to Las Vegas this weekend, so i spent time at my aunts house. She is so creative... food wise ! Last night she made Shrimp with veggies on top of mash potatoes :]. Also i helped her make some lollipops. Hand made and in the shape of bumblebee's very fun. I also got my nails done yesterday there purple ... one of my fav colors. I wil be sure to show u guys tommarrow. What are we doing tommarrow?! Are we going to finsh the movie?! I love the great debators... its really interseting how everything we've done so far are relating in some way. I much rather us learning poetry that debates and all that stuff. hopefully thats what we learn next :]!! I think the best debates are when u  can actually relate to the topic, because you put your all and ur determined to win. Depending on what the debate is over they can get pretty boring :/. But i have to go help finish food for the dinner party my aunt is having, so ill see you guys tmrw !! :]] see yyaa....

( nov. 14th ) time for the blog!!

hey !! :] Soo what did you guys think about the movie?? the 12 Angry men?!... i kinda liked it ! :] except that i always knew what was coming next. Also the vision that i had for each juror was completely different. I think its so funny how that works, When reading a book you create you own image of the people and settings. Then when you watch the movie its something totally different. I wonder where teachers find things like these. Friday i missed class though, i went to the fairfield career center visit. I LOVED IT !!! After seeing how they train there students for cosemotology i really am considering it. They talked to us about how the days would go, we would study and do academic work, then learn different head or nail diseases and infections. But what sucks about it is that junior year you do alot of book work, Senior year is when you get to work more on heads and actually hav customers, and get paid. :] I also found out that after this program i can get into a four year college  with no problems. Which then puts me ahead so i wont hav to wait 'til after college to get my L's. :] i really think that it will be a great oppurtunitie... but ill see u guys tmrw 6th period !!

bolg for Nov. 7th

hey class !! how was your guys weeked?! mine was fun :] !! i went to the movies like everyday, i seen For Colored girls twice and Life as we know it. For Colored Girls is the best movie i ever seen. i cried... i never cry in any movie. its very touching and i would say you guys should go see it too. Life as we Know it was okay, started off pretty slow and quiet. I also went to Easton and ohmgeee they opened H&M up this weekend soo excited. But anyways Sunday night i had to do all this homework i waited to do till the last minute. lol thats so bad!! but lucky MR.POTTER did not give any :]... i really likethe trial book we're reading, i cant decide if the boy should be guilty or not guilty. idk !!  but i CAN NOT wait until we see To kill of the Mockingbird :] !! it should be like the best thing ever. but ill see u guys in class tmrw :] !!
